Sharing and Feedback

Below are my personal thoughts and feedback after completing the Workforce Bootcamp - First Cloud AI Journey internship program:

Overall Evaluation

1. Working Environment
The learning and working environment at FCAJ is really friendly, open, and energetic. There is no distance between us; the admin team and fellow interns are all super helpful. Whenever I faced a configuration error or got stuck, I could just message the group and someone would support me quickly, even late at night or on weekends. The comfortable workspace also helped me focus on my labs much better.

2. Support from Mentor / Team Admin
My mentor was extremely dedicated. What I liked most was that he wouldn’t just give the answers away; instead, he would suggest directions and guide us to think and debug by ourselves first. This helped me understand the root causes and remember the concepts much longer. The admin team also set up our AWS lab accounts quickly and supported us with all administrative procedures.

3. Relevance of Work to Academic Major
The Rookwork group project and labs are highly relevant to my IT major. At university, we mostly learned network and OS theories. Here, I got to configure things directly on the AWS Cloud and got hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD—which are highly practical skills for my future career.

4. Learning & Skill Development Opportunities
This internship really helped me level up. Besides learning AWS network designs (VPC, RDS, EC2), I also learned how to write clean technical documentation, collaborate effectively in a team, and organize tasks systematically.

5. Company Culture & Team Spirit
Everyone respected each other’s opinions. The Rookwork project was my first group project on the Cloud. Although each member was responsible for a specific part (VPC, Backend, Frontend), we coordinated smoothly and debugged together whenever integration issues popped up.

6. Internship Policies / Benefits
We were provided with AWS accounts for hands-on labs and attended high-quality training sessions with cloud experts. Being able to attend a major event like AWS Community Day 2026 was also a huge highlight for me.

Additional Questions

  • What did you find most satisfying during your internship?
    • The most satisfying part was directly designing and configuring a secure, layered VPC network infrastructure for our group project, and seeing it run smoothly. I also deeply appreciate the constant support from my mentor and the great team spirit within my group.
  • What do you think the company should improve for future interns?
    • It would be helpful if the program could host a short workshop on Git/GitHub and collaborative workflows during the first week, as we struggled a bit at the beginning to merge our code.
  • If recommending to a friend, would you suggest they intern here? Why or why not?
    • Yes, absolutely. It’s a highly practical program where you get to work with advanced Cloud and DevOps tech that you rarely get to practice deeply at school. The mentors and admins are also super friendly and supportive.

Suggestions & Expectations

  • Suggestions to improve the internship experience: I hope the program can provide slightly more cloud credits or broader Sandbox permissions so students can freely test more complex cloud architectures outside the standard labs.
  • Desire to continue: I would love to stay connected with the First Cloud AI Journey community, perhaps as a teaching assistant or mentor to share my experience with future cohorts.
  • Additional comments: I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the FCJ organizers and AWS Vietnam for creating such a valuable, supportive, and memorable internship program for tech students!
